Artist Statement

I make art by extracting representational and abstract ideas.

For me, representational art is observing how the world is shaped by light and shadows, always re-identifying our world.

My abstract art allows me the freedom to express emotions in vibrant colors and shapes, some identifiable and some are explosions, moments of reflection or declarations of unbridled happiness, awakening the mind and spirit.

Charcoal, oil/acrylics paints, watercolors or pastels are all vehicles I use to identify and pull together these shapes to form the visual language of our world, the fibers that makes us who we are.
